How Do We Protect Our Children?
An elected representative, who has been serving the society for more than a decade, had been allegedly brutally abusing a 17-year old tribal girl for more than a year. The girl, unable to cope with the constant torture and blackmail, had tried to commit suicide last week. A POCSO case has been registered against the former Sultan Bathery panchayat president. When the protectors themselves lay traps for innocent children, on whom should we keep our faith in?
