Letter Of Appreciation Or Of Correction?
Today, the state and the central governments locked horns over a letter from the external affairs ministry to the chief secretary of Kerala. The state considers it as a letter of appreciation while the Centre said it is a letter that compliments the correction of the mistakes by the state. The Centre has been saying for a long time that the state's demand for a COVID negative certificate for expatriates to board the planes to Kerala is not practical. The letters between MEA and the state kicked up acontroversy after the Centre made it clear that it cannot change the criteria for Kerala alone. Was this letter one of appreciation or of correction?
