Govt Struggles To Defend?
The government of Kerala and the CPM unit had a very bad day on Thursday, with two arrests- one, that of former principal secretary M Sivasankar IAS who used to be the CM's most trustworthy person and the other, that of Bineesh Kodiyeri who is the son of CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. In his arrest memo and remand report, M Sivasankar admitted that he made a phone call to the Customs seeking the release of the gold in a diplomatic baggage smuggled by accused Swapna Suresh's mafia team. The party secretary's son will spend the night at the lockup of Bengaluru's Wilson Garden police station. Is the government struggling to defend its actions?
