CEO Teeka Ram Meena Responds To Re-polling Criticisms

T'puram: Chief Electoral Officer of the state Teeka Ram Meena said that bogus voting is a crime, even if it is just one vote. He was responding to the criticisms pertaining to the re-polling held in the state. Speaking to Mathrubhumi News, he said that the truth about the irregularities alleged in the police postal ballots will be discovered soon. The counting centres will open at 8 am on May 23. The postal ballots will be counted at 8.30 am, followed by the votes recorded in the EVMs. It may take more than four hours to count the slips in the VVPATs, he said.
