‘Dislikes' Flood PM Modi's Video On Twitter; BJP Turns Off Button

Prime Minister Modi addressed the nation detailing the status on the COVID 19 pandemic in the country, and to assure Indians that the country is in a much better place with respect to the contagion than earlier. But, during the speech, BJP’s official YouTube channel turned off its dislike button quietly after the video was flooded with around 4,500 dislikes within minutes. What had started as a protest by agitated students against Modi’s decision to skip the issue of entrance examinations being conducted amid the ongoing pandemic, the ‘dislike’ option getting weaponised seems to worry the leader and his party, so invested in perception management.
