Sugar Factories Squeeze Farmers In Karnataka

Bengaluru: The farmers in Bagalkot in north Karnataka are on the verge of an agitation as climate change and the loss of quality of the soil have made their lives miserable. Most of them are almost starving as the sugar mills have not been paying for their sugar cane for months. Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has asked them to be patient till the end of polls.
