Govt Inked Power Purchase Contract To Benefit Adani: Chennithala

Alappuzha: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala levelled new allegations of corruption against the state government. The state government entered into a 25-year agreement worth Rs 8,850 crore with Adani Group on behalf of KSEB. According to the agreement, the KSEB will buy wind power at a rate of Rs 2.82 per unit though solar power is available for just Rs 2 per unit. Adani will make Rs 1,000 crore profit from contract. Ramesh Chennithala said that the Central and state governments were behind this and demanded that the government should cancel the agreement immediately.
