Malappuram: Binu Philip, an immigrant farmer from Pothukallu in Nilambur, is in search of survival. His land was washed away in the last flood that hit the state. Months after the flood, life is still uncertain for this farmer. Binu rests his hope on the promise of the agriculture minister that the government will provide the land. The farmland, which had a revenue of Rs 15 lakhs a year, became a desert after flood. The total loss estimated is Rs 6 crores.
