SFI-AISF Clash Escalates To CPI {M}- CPI Conflict In Kochi

Kochi: In an unseemly internecine feud among the major LDF constituents, the district secretary of the CPI, P Raju, has vented his public displeasure over his vehicle being blocked by a combine of DYFI-SFI members and anti-social elements. He personally rang up the district CPI {M} secretary to apprise the latter of this unfortunate incident, which occurred when Raju was on his way to calling on injured AISF members at Njarackal hospital, subsequent to a SFI-AISF clash. He also lambasted the Njarackal CI, whom he accused of being a mute spectator to the whole episode. A formal complaint is being sent to the CM and the DGP. The CPI district chief said that the person who assaulted an SFI activist is not AISF member. He clarified that he couldn’t attend the concluding rally of the LDF at Palarivattom, due to prior engagements. However, the SFI accused the AISF of spinning a yarn and alleged that it was their cadre that suffered injuries.
