UAPA Case: CPM Changes Stance To Avoid Central Intervention

T'puram: The CPM state secretariat has agreed that it should not interfere in the imposition of UAPA charges against youths who have been detained for alleged Maoist links. It is concerned that the interference in the investigation will create problems, including central intervention. The report of the Kozhikode district committee that the youths have links with those with radical ideas, has also influenced the decision.
