Virat Kohli To Lead Indian Squad For ICC World Cup; Dinesh Karthik In; Pant, Rayudu Out

New Delhi: The BCCI on Monday announced the Indian team for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019. Virat Kohli will lead the 15-member team and Rohit Sharma will be his deputy. Both Dinesh Karthik and KL Rahul found berth in the team while Rishab Pant and Ambati Rayudu did not make it to the list. The World Cup will be held in England and Wales. The men in blue will face South Africa in the opening match scheduled for June 5. The team: Virat Kohli (captain), Rohit Sharma (vice captain), Dinesh Karthik, Shikar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Vijay Shankar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wicket keeper), Kedar Jadhav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami.
