Kokrebellur's Delightful Guests| Environment Day Special Programme

The community reserve of Kokrebellur, a village in Karnataka's 'ricebowl' Mandya district, is the second largest in India. The village is named after painted storks and pelicans, the migratory birds which roost in the village for six months in a year. The villagers are still clueless as to why the birds choose the area for breeding. The village is blessed with water bodies and the overflowing Shimsha river. On World Environment day, meet the delightful guests of Kokrebellur on a special programme.
