Alok Verma Sacked As CBI Director
New Delhi: Two days after the Supreme Court reinstated him as the director of the CBI, Alok Verma has been removed from power again. In a meeting convened on Thursday, the high level select committee sacked him, ignoring the strong disagreement expressed by Congress leader and committee member Malliakarjun Kharge. Alok Verma has been transferred as the director general of Fire Services, Civil Defence and Home Guards.
