Modi Govt Should Not Present Full-Fledged Budget: Congress
New Delhi: The Congress warned the Modi government against presenting a full-fledged budget as election is a few months away. Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari said that the Modi government should desist from presenting a full-fledged budget for 365 days when its tenure would end in a few days. If they present a full-fledged budget instead of a vote account, it will be a violation of constitutional propriety and parliamentary norms, he added. It is believed that the interim budget to be presented by Piyush Goyal, who is in-charge of Finance Ministry, may include schemes to attract farmers, middle-class families and women ahead of the Lok Sabha election.
