Heavy Rains In Mumbai Claims 28 Lives
Mumbai: A heavy downpour that lashed Mumbai in past two days have claimed 28 lives. Incidents of wall collapse were reported in Malad, Kalyan and Pune. As the downpour continues to flood the low lying areas in the city, which received the highest rainfall in 10 years, the Maharashtra government had declared a public holiday in Mumbai on Tuesday. The rainfall severely affected the road, rail and flight services in the city.
