It Was PLA Troops That Fired Shots In Air: India

New Delhi: India refuted Chinese claims that the Indian Army fired shots at the LAC. India made it clear that the PLA troops tried to cross the LAC and when dissuaded by own troops fired a few rounds in the air in an attempt to intimidate Indian troops. Despite grave provocation, own troops exercised great restraint and behaved in a mature and responsible manner. Lieutenant General Sarath Chand, former Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) of the Indian Army, speaks on the actual situation at the LAC.
