New Delhi: The Narendra Modi Government is likely to implement the minimum basic pay for poor, which was promised by Congress President Rahul Gandhi as part of his election campaign. The Government may announce this in the budget on 1 February. The idea of providing a minimum basic income for the poor was under the consideration of the Union Government for a long time.
