President Ram Nath Kovind Rejects Nirbhaya Convict Pawan Gupta's Mercy Petition
New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind rejected the mercy petition filed by Pawan Gupta, one of the Nirbhaya convicts. Earlier, the Delhi government had recommended the President to do the same. A few days ago, the convict's curative petition was rejected by the Supreme Court. Mercy petitions filed by all convicts- Mukesh Singh, Vinay Kumar Sharma and Akshay Kumar, were rejected by the President earlier.
