When Maradu case was taken up for hearing in the SC, Justice Arun Mishra asked the first question to Harish Salve; for whom was he appearing? Salve replied that he represented the Kerala Chief Secretary. The bench said that they needed to hear the Chief Secretary himself. Justice Mishra has asked only one question to the Chief Secretary- how much time did h need to demolish the illegally constructed apartment complexes in Maradu. The court also pulled up the state Government for not complying with its orders. The case will be considered again on Friday. The Government has to inform the court how much time it needs to implement the court order on that day. The court will pronounce the final verdict then. The court has emphasised today that there is no other way than demolishing the illegal construction. KM Shajahan, KA Devasi and Biyoj participate in the discussion.
