New Financial Year To Put Budget Announcements In Place
T'puram: As the new financial year begins on Monday, the announcements made in the Union and State budgets will come into force. The luxury tax on house and tax on motor vehicle and liquor will increase in 2019-2020 financial year. The threshold limit for registration under GST will be increase to Rs 40 lakh from Rs 20 lakh. Due to the upcoming LS polls, 10 % increase in value of land and the flood cess announced in the state budget will not come into effect in April.
