Wildfire Engulfs Dolmens In Marayur

Idukki: A wildfire outbreak in Marayur, near Munnar, has engulfed the historically important dolmens, belonging to the megalithic era. The forest fire outbreak, which is attributed to rising mercury level in the hill station, has severely disturbed the biodiversity and ecosystem of the region. Despite the joint efforts of various units of Fire and Rescue services to tackle the fire, the personnel were unable to put out.
